We carry out most implant procedures under local anaesthesia as this is the safest option. Most patients also prefer this as the recovery time is also quicker. In fact, most patients carry on with their day to day activities from the next day. Regularly, our patient's feedback to us that the procedures were completely pain free and they need not have worried about it.
However, we do understand that in certain circumstances, further analgesia may be necessary. We of course determine this on a case by case individual basis. In these situations, we do have the facility to offer additional methods of analgesia in addition to local anaesthetics. Dr Shah will always discuss these options with you at your consultation appointment.
